Day 1 Arrive Nairobi
Arrive in Nairobi at any time.
Day 2 Arusha (B,L,D)
Travel to Arusha, with time to relax before we set up camp for the night.
Day 3-4 Serengeti National Park/Ngorongoro Crater (2B,2L,2D)
Journey to the Serengeti via the archeological site of Olduvai Gorge, "The Cradle of Mankind". Enjoy the multitude of animal and bird life while cruising through the acacia-spotted savannah of the Serengeti plains.
Day 5 Arusha (B,L,D)
Return to Arusha and the afternoon is free to kick back and relax, and do some sightseeing or shop for gifts.
Day 6 Dar Es Salaam (B,L,D)
Today we pass Mt Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, and head towards the historic capital, Dar Es Salaam.
Day 7-10 Zanzibar (4B,L)
Zanzibar Island “the spice island” has a rich history and culture. Visit the beaches, explore Stone Town and soak up the island spirit.
Day 11 Dar Es Salaam (B)
Catch the ferry back to Dar Es Salaam where you have one more night to enjoy the sites and sounds of this captivating capital.
Day 12 Iringa (B,L,D)
Continue the journey south west along the Dar Es Salaam – Mbeya Highway to Iringa.
Day 13-15 Lake Malawi (3B,3L,3D)
Cross into Malawi, and spend three days relaxing on the shores of "the lake of stars".
Day 16 Chipata (B,L,D)
Journey to Chipata on the Zambia/Malawi border. Visit the local market just north of the town centre.
Day 17-18 South Luangwa NP (2B,2L,2D)
South Luangwa National Park is wild and remote with an abundance of wildlife. Camp on the banks of the Luangwa River and explore the area on a game walk and an open 4WD game drive.
Day 19 Chipata (B,L,D)
Head back to Chipata to visit some of the local "Down Shops" in the town.
Day 20 Lusaka (B,L,D)
Camp on a private game farm just outside the capital of Zambia, Lusaka.
Day 21-22 Livingstone (2B,L)
Spend the next two days exploring the breathtaking Victoria Falls, a natural wonder of the world. Adventure activities abound - go white-water rafting or canoeing on Zambezi, take an elephant-back safari, bungee jump over the Zambezi River, or even fly over the falls for some fantastic views in a "micro-light", a motorized hang-glider.
Day 23 Katima Mulilo (B,L,D)
Today we travel overland through Zambia, crossing into the Caprivi Strip region of neighboring Namibia, home to 450 animal species that travel freely across the border from Chobe National Park in Botswana.
Day 24-25 Bagani (2B,2L,2D)
Continue through the Caprivi Strip to your camp on the Okavango River. Along the way keep an eye out for any elephants who call the "strip" home. Cruise down the Okavango River in search of hippos, and other river life!!
Day 26 Maun (B,L,D)
Travel to Maun in Botswana. Take the optional flight high over the Okavango Delta, searching for buffalo and wildebeest!!
Day 27 Khama Rhino Sanctuary (B,L,D)
Journey to the Khama Rhino Sanctuary, a community based wildlife project to assist in saving the endangered Rhino, and restore the area to its previous natural state.
Day 28-29 Pilanesberg Game Reserve (2B,2L,D)
Travel to Pilanesberg (National Park) Game Reserve, the crater of an extinct volcano, and home to Africa's big 5.
Day 30 Johannesburg (B,L)
Travel to Johannesburg, the largest city in South Africa. Optional excursions to Soweto or the Apartheid Museum are recommended.
Day 31 Blyde River Canyon (B,L,D)
Head east towards Mpumalanga through a fascinating landscape complete with mountains, panoramic passes, valleys and waterfalls in beautiful forests.
Day 32-33 Kruger National Park (2B,2L,2D)
The world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa. Enjoy two days of game viewing while enjoying the wonderful natural surroundings of the Kruger National Park.
Day 34 Marracuene (B,L,D)
Today we leave the wildlife of Kruger behind us, and enter into Mozambique, a colourful, vibrant, fascinating country. We overnight in Marracuene where you can take a canoe ride, relax by the pool, or enjoy the forested scenery of the area.
Day 35-37 Inhambane (3B,3L,3D)
Travel north to a beautiful coastal area near the town of Inhambane, with spectacular views over the Indian Ocean. Take some time to explore the dunes, horseback riding, or take a boat cruise. Sea lovers can enjoy snorkelling or diving at one of the few coral reefs, while seafood lovers will find themselves to be in paradise.
Day 38 Maputo (B,L)
Notice the definite Latin flare to the city, as Maputo openly embraces it’s Latin heritage. There is a unique feel to this city, with its popular seafront, colonial architecture, and colourful jacaranda trees.
Day 39-40 Kingdom of Swaziland (2B,2L,2D)
The mountainous Kingdom of Swaziland, is one of three monarchies in Africa. Explore Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, which is situated in the Swaziland’s “Valley of Heaven”, the Ezulwini Vallley. You will spend the evenings here in traditional beehive huts, with the opportunity to go horse riding, mountain biking, hiking, game viewing or visiting a Swazi Village.
Day 41-42 Zululand (2B,2L,2D)
Today we re-enter South Africa and stay in the St. Lucia area near the coast, where you may take optional boat trip on the estuary or go for a horse ride on the beach. On day 42, you have the option to visit the Umfolozi Game Reserve which is a safe haven for both the white and black rhino, and as well lions, buffalo, elephant, and leopard.
Day 43 Durban (B,L)
Spend the day travelling the coast to Durban. Explore the beach and dive into the warm waters of the Indian Ocean just out the front door of our guest house.
Day 44-45 Coffee Bay (2B,2L,2D)
South from Durban, we travel to Coffee Bay, a paradise on a large stretch of Indian Ocean coast referred to as the Wild Coast. Try your luck at surfing the waves, scuba diving, horse riding, or hiking one of the various nature trails in the rolling green hills.
Day 46-47 Hogsback (2B,2L,2D)
The Hogsback mountains, are an ideal location to relax and soak up the scenery. Spend two days hiking along the many trails in the area, rock climbing or abseiling the many cliffs, or just relaxing by the garden at the hotel.
Day 48 Addo Elephant National Park (B,L,D)
Today we descend from the mountains of the Hogback area and continue on to the Addo Elephant National Park, a unique wildlife area. Although famous for the Addo elephants, this park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, and we embark on an afternoon game drive in search of the resident elephants, black rhino, lion, buffalo and even leopard.
Day 49-50 Tsitsikamma (2B,2L,2D)
Indigenous Tsitsikamma forests surround the campsite in the village of Storms River. Optional Activities in the area include hiking, abseiling, scuba diving, snorkelling, boat rides, canoeing, whale watching, or even the world’s highest bungee jump. On Day 50, we’ll visit the breathtaking Tsitsikamma National Park for nature walks along the rugged coastline.
Day 51 Outdshoorn (B,L,D)
After visiting "The Heads" in Knysna, a town nestled on a tranquil lagoon on the coast, we take a scenic drive to travel over the Outeniqua Mountains to the quiet town of Oudtshoorn. In the late afternoon, we’ll visit the interesting Cango Caves.
Day 52 Stellenbosch (B,L)
Our journey takes us further west to quaint and beautiful Stellenbosch. We’ll then continue to explore the wine farms and vineyards to get a proper taste of the area.
Day 53 Cape Town (B)
Visit the famous, beautiful, and cosmopolitan city of Cape Town. Enjoy some free time to explore the historic center and its museums, visit Robben Island, climb the prominent Table Mountain, take in some local theatre, or just relax on the beach and enjoy the Cape's sunshine.
Day 54 Cape Town (B)
Depart Cape Town any time.
