Day 2 San Cristóbal Island (B,L,D)
Fly to San Cristóbal Island and transfer to your hotel. From the top of San Cristóbal take in the panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean towards Santa Cruz, Floreana and Santa Fé Islands. We bike downhill, passing through the village of El Progresso into the township of Puerto Barequizo Moreno. Visit Mann Beach for a swim and observe playful sea lions and frigate birds, gliding on the thermals.
Day 3 San Cristóbal Island (B,L)
What better way to see wildlife than guiding silently across the sea in your kayak. Today you will have this opportunity before continuing onto Kicker Rock, the remains of an underwater volcano rising vertically 150m out of the sea. While snorkelling, watch for sea turtles, manta rays, the Galapagos shark, and rare Galapagos penguins, of which only 800 pairs exist. In the afternoon we visit the interpretation center.
Day 4 Floreana (B,L,D)
Set sail for Floreana Island. Watch for dolphins and the magnificent albatross. Experience some of the best snorkelling in the islands at Enderby Islet or Champions Bay and Devils Crown. After snorkelling we head to the isolated town of Puerto Velasco Ibarra and its museum, and we have the visit of the highlands of the island.
Day 5 Floreana Island/Isabela Island (B,L,D)
Travel to the seldom visited highlands of Floreana. Pirates, whalers, seal hunters and bucaneers have lived in this isolated and unique landscape. On our way to Isabela, we have the opportunity to observe flamingos in the wetlands. We may do snorkeling in concha perla.
Day 6 Isabela Island (B,L)
A full day tour takes us up Sierra Negra Volcano, an active volcano in Galapagos with the second largest crater in the world. Experience a birds-eye view of this magical landscape on foot or horseback (optional). Visit the Breeding Center of the Giant Tortoise, the largest in Galapagos and if you still have energy you can try our luck at an optional surf lesson.
Day 7 Santa Cruz (B,L)
We make our way to the Wall of Tears built by convicts many years ago. Along the way we stop at a lookout point, visit natural pools, walking trails, beaches and mangrove swamps. Also visit “Tintoreras“ Shark Alley to observe the white tip reef sharks found swimming in the channels between the rocks. Get a close-up view of pelicans, frigate birds and diving blue footed boobies. Set sail to Santa Cruz Island Puerto Ayora. Explore this bustling town and sample some of the local cuisine, or maybe some shopping.
Day 8 Santa Cruz (B,L,D)
Visit the highlands of Santa Cruz, observing the Galapagos Giant Tortoise natural surroundings and the over 1km long lava tunnels while taking in views of the islands. Later head to Tortuga Bay, a stunning beach with fine white sand to see marine iguanas, kayaking, or to just relax and soak up the sun.
Day 9 Santa Cruz/Quito (B,L)
Pay a visit to Lonesome George at the Charles Darwin Research Station. This is a great opportunity to observe many species of tortoises and land iguanas in captivity, brought back form the brink of extinction. Transfer over the island of Santa Cruz to Baltra where we catch our flight to Quito. In Quito, enjoy one last night on the town. Our representative will be able to advise you of the many day tours in and around Quito.
