Take advantage of all the wilderness Belize has to offer, on an active adventure through the caves, rivers, jungles and islands of Central America's only English-speaking country. From San Ignacio in the Cayo district to Ambergris Caye get ready for action: drive speedboats and ATVs through thick jungle, try canopy zip lining and explore ancient Mayan ruins. Trade in your jungle lodge for beachside paradise, and go snorkelling with stingrays and sharks...just for a little relaxation.

Day 1 Belize City

Arrive in Belize City.

Day 2-3 Cayo District (B,L)

Spend the next two days exploring the jungle and ancient underground caves on the shores of the Caves Branch River. After breakfast on Day 2, board your self-drive speedboat and cruise the inland waterways then visit the Peccary Park Adventure Centre for your rainforest ATV and Mayan cave tour. On Day 3, visit Actun Tunichil Muknal which involves a 45-minute jungle hike to the opening of the cave, wading across a river three times before the adventure begins!. After lunch take a guided rainforest walk.

Day 4-5 San Ignacio (B,L)

Considered Belize’s jewel, this riverfront capital of the Cayo District is an eco-traveller’s dream with easy access to Mayan ruins and wilderness sanctuaries. Check in to our Jungle Lodge for your two-night stay. Enjoy morning birding and guided trail walks. In the afternoon, spend time exploring the ancient Mayan site of Xunantunich. The next day is at leisure. Optional activities include a tour of Tikal, horseback riding and river canoeing.

Day 6-8 Ambergris Caye (B,L)

Experience the famous Belize rainforest canopy zip-line soaring high above the jungle floor. Next, visit the Belize Zoo, a sanctuary for indigenous species, then travel by boat and cruise the Belize River before your flight to Ambergris Caye. Arrive to Belize’s largest island and check in to the exotic beachside paradise for your two-night stay. The next morning, it’s off for a popular snorkel tour to the Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley where you can see nurse sharks and graceful stingrays. On your final day, enjoy the island at leisure then fly to the Belize International Airport for your flight home or book extension nights!
