Cahuita National Park, Puerto Viejo

Get shipwrecked on Costa Rica's wild Caribbean coast. Explore the coral reefs and crystal-clear waters of Cahuita National Park, and choose from the endless activities around your base of Puerto Viejo. A low-key but happening town with a sweep of beaches that stretches all the way to Panama, Puerto Viejo has something for everyone: from horseback riding to fishing and surfing to diving, there's much more than just reggae and hammocks...although there's plenty of those, too!

Day 1 Arrive San José

Please note: All International arrivals prior to 6:00am receive a same day transfer to Puerto Viejo. On the return, all departures after 3pm will enjoy a same day airport transfer. If your flights do not work within these times, you may overnight in one of our San José hotels at the beginning and/or end of your stay.

Day 2 Cahuita National Park (B)

With your guide, enjoy a hike in Cahuita National Park, known for its white sand beaches, crystal-clear sea and spectacular coral reef. There is an abundance of wildlife including howler and white-faced monkeys, two or three-toed sloths, iguanas, morph butterflies, parrots and other bird species.

Day 3-6 Puerto Viejo (4B)

Enjoy four days in paradise. Many optional day tours are available including river-surfing, horseback riding, fishing and visiting a wildlife refuge.

Day 7 Depart San José (B)
